House Rules

  • Please keep noise to a minimum, music and televisions should be kept at a respectable volume, with windows closed when possible. 
  • Please respect flat-owner’s or communal property i.e. plants / furniture / tiling / internal paintwork quickly becomes dirty with scuff marks which devalues the property 
  • Please ensure front and back doors are pulled shut until they lock, to improve block security 
  • For health reasons, no rubbish bags should be left outside flats, please take down to communal wheelie bins in Flat Bastion Road 
  • For Fire Safety access, walkways must be left clear. No household belongings, toys or furniture to be stored outside flat unless with approval of Committee. Please feel free to discuss long-term storage arrangements with Committee 
  • Bicycles should be secured to railings, care should be taken not to dirty walls when carrying bicycles / prams up stairways 
  • To keep the block tidy please put any litter in the bins provided 
  • Please supervise children playing outside in the block, to minimise noise and nuisance to other block residents. Please clear away their toys / litter from communal areas after play 
  • To avoid accidents and damage, no ball games and no bicycles/scooters should be ridden around the block 
  • Children must not play in the garage, all parking spaces are private property – mostly owned by non-residents 
  • Please do not store items in the garage area to maximise manoeuvring space 
  • Please ensure children do not ring on random doorbells for access other than in an emergency – please note there is no automatic entry mechanism to backdoor on Flat Bastion Road.  Please ensure children do not ring on rear buzzer for flat 16-18 please note there is no automatic entry mechanism to backdoor on Flat Bastion Road. 
  • Please report any issues / comments / questions to a committee member via the Suggestions Box in the foyer
